..MORE COASTAL FLOODING POSSIBLE TONIGHT ALONG THE MAINE AND NEW
HAMPSHIRE COASTS...

403 PM EDT TUE MAY 24 2005

..COASTAL FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT...

THE COMBINATION OF STRONG WINDS...LARGE WAVES...AND HIGH
ASTRONOMICAL TIDES WILL CAUSE PROBLEMS IN LOW LYING COASTAL SECTIONS
AGAIN TONIGHT.

EXPECT COASTAL FLOODING AND BEACH EROSION AROUND THE TIME OF HIGH
TIDE TONIGHT. TIDES ARE EXPECTED TO RUN ABOUT ONE AND A HALF FEET
ABOVE NORMAL. THE NORMAL HIGH TIDE TONIGHT AT PORTLAND HARBOR IS 11.1
FEET AND OCCURS AT 1216 AM. THE TIDES COMBINED WITH THE STORM SURGE
WILL PRODUCE A TIDE OF 12 TO 12 1/2 FEET. FLOODING OCCURS IN PORTLAND
HARBOR WITH A 12 FOOT TIDE.

PERSONS IN FLOOD PRONE AREAS ALONG THE NEW HAMPSHIRE COAST AND ALONG
THE MAINE COAST SOUTH OF PORTLAND SHOULD MONITOR WATER LEVELS
CLOSELY.

STAY TUNED TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO AND OTHER LOCAL MEDIA FOR FURTHER
DETAILS OR UPDATES.
