...FREEZING TEMPERATURES EXPECTED ACROSS THE NORTH COUNTRY THURSDAY
NIGHT...

A STRONG LATE SEASON COLD FRONT WILL PUSH ACROSS THE AREA THIS
EVENING...USHERING IN A MUCH COOLER AIRMASS BY THURSDAY. HIGH
PRESSURE WILL THEN BUILD INTO THE REGION LATER THURSDAY...AND SETTLE
ACROSS THE AREA THURSDAY NIGHT. DUE TO THE COMBINATION OF LIGHT WINDS
AND CLEAR SKIES...TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO DROP QUICKLY AFTER
SUNSET ON THURSDAY...WITH READINGS BOTTOMING OUT GENERALLY IN THE 20S
AREA WIDE BY EARLY FRIDAY MORNING. THOUGH THE GROWING SEASON IS NOT
YET IN FULL SWING...TENDER HOUSEPLANTS AND ANNUALS THAT HAVE BEEN
PLACED OUTSIDE IN THE RECENT WARM CONDITIONS WILL BE SUSCEPTIBLE TO
THE EXPECTED COLD TEMPERATURES. THUS HOMEOWNERS AND GROWERS SHOULD
TAKE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT THESE INTERESTS.

STAY TUNED TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO AND OTHER LOCAL MEDIA FOR FURTHER
DETAILS OR UPDATES.
