AN INTENSIFYING NOR'EASTER WILL BRING STRONG WINDSWEPT RAINS TO
COASTAL NEW ENGLAND SATURDAY.

A WIND ADVISORY IS ISSUED WHEN SUSTAINED WINDS ARE FORECAST TO BE 31
TO 39 MPH OR GUSTS WILL RANGE BETWEEN 46 AND 57 MPH. WINDS OF THIS
MAGNITUDES MAY CAUSE MINOR PROPERTY DAMAGE WITHOUT EXTRA
PRECAUTIONS. MOTORISTS IN HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES SHOULD USE CAUTION
UNTIL THE WINDS SUBSIDE.

BOATERS AND FISHERMEN MIGHT CONSIDER POSTPONING THEIR OUTINGS TODAY
DUE TO THE HIGH WINDS...OR PLEASE USE EXTREME CAUTION ON THE WATERS.

..THE HIGH WIND WATCH FOR PARTS OF COASTAL SOUTHEAST NEW ENGLAND HAS
BEEN CONVERTED TO A WIND ADVISORY AND IS IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM SATURDAY
TO NOON EDT SATURDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TAUNTON MA HAS ISSUED A WIND
ADVISORY FOR COASTAL SOUTHEAST NEW ENGLAND.

WINDS WILL GRADUALLY STRENGTHEN DURING THE NIGHT FROM BLOCK ISLAND TO
MARTHAS VINEYARD NANTUCKET AND CAPE COD. NORTHEAST WINDS WILL REACH
SUSTAINED VALUES OF 30 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS BETWEEN 40 AND 50 MPH
SATURDAY MORNING. THIS COMBINED WITH OCCASIONALLY HEAVY RAIN WILL
MAKE TRAVEL POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS ON BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES AS WELL
AS EXPOSED HIGHWAYS...ESPECIALLY ROUTE 6 AS WELL AS THE BOURNE AND
SAGAMORE BRIDGES. A FEW POWER OUTAGES MAY ALSO OCCUR.

STRONG AND GUSTY WINDS WILL EASILY BLOW ABOUT LIGHTER ITEMS SUCH AS
TRASH CANS AND LAWN FURNITURE. SMALL BRANCHES MAY ALSO FALL TO THE
GROUND.
