SUFFOLK MA-WESTERN AND CENTRAL HILLSBOROUGH NH-WESTERN ESSEX MA-

...HEAVY RAIN SHOWERS ALONG AND NORTH OF THE MASS PIKE...

THE REMNANTS OF A SUBTROPICAL LOW WERE LOCATED ACROSS THE SOUTHERN
BERKSHIRES AT MIDDAY. NUMEROUS HEAVY SHOWERS CONTINUE TO CIRCULATE
AROUND THIS AREA OF LOW PRESSURE...AND WILL AFFECT NORTHERN
MASSACHUSETTS...MAINLY NORTH OF THE MASS PIKE AND SOUTHWEST NEW
HAMPSHIRE THIS AFTERNOON INTO EARLY THIS EVENING.

IN MASSACHUSETTS THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES AND ADJACENT TOWNS OF
NORTHAMPTON...LEVERETT...FITCHBURG...LOWELL...LAWRENCE AND
NEWBURYPORT.

IN SOUTHWEST NEW HAMPSHIRE THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES AND ADJACENT
TOWNS OF KEENE...JAFFREY...NASHUA AND MANCHESTER.

RAINFALL THROUGH THIS EVENING IS EXPECTED TO RANGE BETWEEN 0.50 TO
0.75 INCHES...WITH ISOLATED AMOUNTS OF 1.5 INCHES POSSIBLE. THIS
HEAVY RAIN COULD LEAD TO PONDING OF WATER IN POOR DRAINAGE AREAS...
AND POSSIBLY MINOR STREET FLOODING. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS ANY ROAD
COVERED BY WATER.

SHOWERS WILL BEGIN TO TAPER OFF LATE TODAY ACROSS WESTERN
MASSACHUSETTS...AND THEN THIS EVENING FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE
REGION.
