...90+ DEGREE HEAT EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH FRIDAY JUST INLAND
FROM THE IMMEDIATE COAST...

HIGH TEMPERATURES TODAY ARE EXPECTED TO CLIMB TO BETWEEN 90 AND 95
JUST A FEW MILES INLAND FROM THE COAST...WHERE SEA BREEZES WILL KEEP
HIGHS IN THE 80S. EVEN THOUGH IT WILL BE SLIGHTLY LESS HUMID
THAN YESTERDAY...HEAT INDICES ARE EXPECTED TO REACH THE MID TO UPPER
90S FOR A FEW HOURS BETWEEN NOON AND 5 PM.

IF YOU HAVE PLANS TO BE OUTDOORS TODAY...DRINK PLENTY OF WATER AND
AVOID STRENUOUS ACTIVITY WHICH COULD LEAD TO HEAT EXHAUSTION.

THIS STRETCH OF HOT WEATHER IS EXPECTED TO LAST INTO FRIDAY JUST
INLAND FROM THE COAST. THIS WILL RESULT IN AN OFFICIAL HEAT WAVE
WHICH IS DEFINED AS 3 OR MORE DAYS OF CONSECUTIVE 90 DEGREE HEAT. SEA
BREEZES WITHIN 5 TO 10 MILES OF THE COASTLINE SHOULD PREVENT THIS ON
THE IMMEDIATE COAST. HOWEVER...ON FRIDAY 90 DEGREE HEAT SHOULD
RETURN TO THE COASTLINE AS NO SEA BREEZES ARE EXPECTED.
