...STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON AND
EVENING...

A COLD FRONT APPROACHING FROM THE WEST IS FORECAST TO ENTER SOUTHERN
NEW ENGLAND DURING THIS AFTERNOON. ABUNDANT SUNSHINE TODAY WILL
PROMPT TEMPERATURES TO RISE INTO THE UPPER 80S TO LOW 90S ACROSS MUCH
OF INTERIOR SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND...PROVIDING AN INCREASINGLY UNSTABLE
ATMOSPHERE. THIS COMBINATION WILL ALLOW FOR THUNDERSTORMS TO FORM
THIS AFTERNOON.

A FEW OF THESE STORMS MAY BECOME SEVERE WITH HAIL OR DAMAGING WINDS.
THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP BETWEEN 2 AND 4 PM ACROSS
CONNECTICUT AND WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS...INTO SOUTHWEST NEW HAMPSHIRE.
FARTHER EAST ACROSS RHODE ISLAND AND EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS...
THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP OR MOVE INTO THE AREA BETWEEN 4 AND 6 PM.
THE RISK FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDS SOUTHEAST TO THE INTERSTATE
95 CORRIDOR.

STAY TUNED TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO AND OTHER LOCAL MEDIA FOR FURTHER
DETAILS OR UPDATES.
