..STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE REGION BY
LATER TODAY AND INTO EARLY TONIGHT...

A COLD FRONT WILL BE MOVING ACROSS THE GREAT LAKES REGION TODAY...AND
THEN ACROSS THE NORTH COUNTRY TONIGHT. THIS FRONT WILL THEN MOVE OFF
TO THE SOUTHEAST OF THE REGION ON WEDNESDAY.

AHEAD AND ALONG THIS COLD FRONT...STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE
EXPECTED TO DEVELOP IN THE VERY UNSTABLE AND HUMID AIR THAT WILL LIE
ACROSS MUCH OF NORTHERN NEW YORK STATE AND VERMONT TODAY AND INTO
TONIGHT. STRONG WINDS ALOFT MAY MIX DOWN TO THE SURFACE AS THESE
THUNDERSTORMS PASS THROUGH THE REGION FROM THE WEST THIS AFTERNOON
AND INTO TONIGHT. THE THREAT FOR STRONGER THUNDERSTORMS WILL BEGIN
FIRST ACROSS NEW YORK STATE AND WESTERN VERMONT BY LATER THIS
AFTERNOON AND THEN TRANSLATE EASTWARD AFTER THAT.

NOW IS THE TIME TO PREPARE FOR POSSIBLE SEVERE WEATHER ACROSS THE
REGION BY LATER TODAY. STAY TUNED TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO ALL
HAZARDS...AND LOCAL MEDIA FOR FURTHER DETAILS OR UPDATES FROM THE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BURLINGTON VERMONT.
